Physician's Assistant & Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Physician’s Assistant & Nurse Practitioner for part to full-time work at PrimeCare Urgent Care in Cumming, GA.

This individual is responsible for performing medical examinations, diagnosing common medical conditions, managing stable phases of chronic illness, coordinating health management and assisting the clinic physician in delivering care to patients.

This position may occasionally work independently performing off-site physical examinations for Schools or Worker's Comp sites.

Previous ER or significant Urgent Care experience is a Plus.

Responsibilities

Under physician direction, provides primary care services to clinic patients including prescribing dispensing or transmitting medications in accordance with standardized procedures and current state regulations.
Provides general counseling, guidance, and health instructions to individual patients and family members.
Participates in the medical staff meetings as required.
Assists the Medical Director and staff physicians in organizing and implementing appropriate quality assurance activities.
Works independently with minimal on-site supervision, Interprets X-Rays, ECGs and Labs, and Follows up on patient treatment plans.
Functions as part of a team in the provision of patient-care and performance of daily activities.
Performs physical examinations and Vaccinations off-site utilizing designated employer examination guidelines.

Requirements

Satisfactory completion of a formal Physician’s Assistant Training Program at an accredited institution
Current Georgia Certification as a Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
3+ years of experience in medical field as an EMT, Paramedic, Registered Nurse or equivalent medical background
3+ years experience as a Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish), written and verbal, is a plus
Masters level PA-C or Advanced NP preferred or equivalent
Current AHA BLS and ACLS
Active DEA License
